I finally stopped using those cheap disposable gloves for facials

Went through a box of those dollar store nitrile gloves in two days last week and my hands felt like sandpaper by the end of it. My client Mrs. Davies even commented that my touch felt rough during the extraction part of her 60 minute facial. I switched over to the 5 mil medical grade ones from a supply shop near downtown and the difference is night and day - better grip, less tearing, and my skin isn't cracking anymore. Any other estheticians here notice a big jump in glove quality mattering for your service?

Is cheap latex really worth the risk of losing clients?

and honestly @cora863, sometimes cheap latex smells so bad it's a dealbreaker on its own.

The Faith probably never had to deal with cheap latex in 95 degree heat during a summer shoot. I bought a bulk pack once from a discount site and the smell was so strong it actually gave me a headache within like 10 minutes. @cora863 is right that losing clients is a big deal, but sometimes you don't even get to that point because the product itself is unwearable. What nobody talks about is how that chemical smell can actually ruin other props or outfits stored nearby in your kit. I had to toss an entire pair of gloves because the smell soaked into them and wouldn't wash out.
