Showerthought: I've stopped going to big mixer events entirely.
People act like you're missing out, but I get more done from a few coffee meetings. The constant schmoozing just feels fake to me.

Yeah, read an article how natural disasters actually make community ties stronger. Like people end up helping neighbors they never even talked to before.
