Vent: My cheap wire stripper broke on a big job in Phoenix
Bought a $15 stripper from a local hardware store last month, the handle snapped clean off on the third day of a rewire job. Cost me half a day's pay and a trip back to the supply house. Anyone have a brand that can actually handle solid 10-gauge all day?

Snapped clean off" sounds about right for those bargain bin tools. It's like they're made of hopes and dreams instead of actual metal. You definitely get what you pay for when you're wrestling with solid 10 all day.

Ugh, that's the worst. Learned that lesson the hard way too. You gotta skip the big box store specials for that heavy gauge stuff. I've been using Klein Tools for years now, the ones with the blue handles. They cost more up front but mine have lasted through miles of 10 and 12 solid. The spring is still good and they don't slip.
