Hit 1000 service calls completed in my truck yesterday
Didn't realize I was that close until I counted back through my invoices from the last 3 years. Has anyone else tracked how many calls they've run in a single van?

Man that's a solid milestone right there. I get it, I've been keeping a rough tally myself but never actually added it all up until I hit a round number like that. It's kinda wild when you step back and think about how many stops and miles that represents. Feels good to see the work add up to something real, even if nobody else notices but you.

Gonna have to disagree with the quiet pride thing. I mean yeah it's cool you hit 1000 calls but counting them up and keeping track feels kinda like you're trying too hard to make it a thing. Nobody else cares about your invoice count because that's just part of the job. You get paid to show up and do the work, not to tally up some number for yourself like it's a video game achievement. It's like being a cashier and counting every single customer you rang up - sure it adds up but what's the point except to pat yourself on the back? The real pride should come from just doing good work every day and not needing to measure it.

Yeah that's a good point about nobody else noticing but you. I mean that's kind of the thing about this job right? You just show up do your thing and move on to the next one. Nobody really sees the accumulation of all those stops unless you sit down and count them yourself like you did. It's a quiet kind of pride I guess but it's real. Definitely something to hold onto.
