Looking back at how I found clients before and after the Edmonton Chamber events

For years, I just went to random meetups around the city and handed out cards, maybe getting one client every few months. Then, about a year ago, I started going to the targeted industry mixers at the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce building downtown. I met my three biggest current clients there in the first six months because the events were focused on my field. Has anyone else seen a big jump from switching to more specific networking spots in town?

Targeted industry mixers" just sounds like the same old thing with a fancier name lol

Totally get that. It's like trying to find a good mechanic at a block party versus going straight to the auto shop. The right crowd makes all the difference.
