Spent 4 hours trying to get a custom title block to scale right in AutoCAD
I was updating a drawing for a client in Dallas and the title block kept printing at half size, no matter what I set the plot scale to. Turns out I had the block set to 'annotative' from an old template, which was fighting with the paper space viewport. Fixed it by redefining the block without that property. Has anyone else had that happen with older title blocks?

That annotative block issue is a classic AutoCAD headache. I lost a whole morning last year on a similar problem with a client's site plan from Houston. It's one of those settings that hides in plain sight until it ruins your print. Good catch finding it in the old template.

Actually, that setting's pretty obvious once you know it.

Old templates are full of little traps like that. It's not just the annotative setting, sometimes the block units are set wrong or it's locked to a weird layer. You have to strip all that junk out and rebuild it clean. Makes me want to just start from scratch every time.
