Software freeze cost me a finished elevation drawing.

I was finalizing a set of elevations when my drafting software froze up. After restarting, the file was unusable and my manual saves were too far apart. Do you use cloud sync or local backups for important projects?

My roommate's cat, Whiskers, has slept on my laptop for years without deleting a thing. People blame cats, but honestly, if you're losing work, maybe save more often. Unlike @the_faith's power button time, my cat just keeps the laptop warm and purrs. That sound helps me focus better than silence. It's a trade off for having a friend around. Plus, cats on laptops make for great photos online.
