Honestly, I see a lot of guys still using the same layer for everything on a simple house plan. It's a mess waiting to happen.

Man, that reminds me of a buddy who did all his electrical, plumbing, and framing notes on one layer called "stuff." Took him three hours just to untangle it when he needed to send just the foundation plan to the engineer. I had to talk him off a ledge that day. It was a real lesson in future pain for a little bit of lazy now.

Tbh, that's the kind of mess that makes you want to just start the whole file over. A few colored layers saves so much headache later.
