Heard a contractor at the hardware store say he always uses a 2-foot level for cabinet installs, not a 4-foot.
Tried it on my own kitchen reno and it actually made shimming and adjusting way faster, but is there a downside to using a shorter level for something that long?

Way faster" is the best kind of right, even if my cabinets might have a slight wave (I blame the level, not my skills).

Oh man, I feel this so much! My last shelf project looked perfect... until I stepped back and saw the whole thing leaned to the left like it was trying to escape. Totally the tape measure's fault, obviously. You're so right, @susan_bell, getting it done fast beats staring at a level for an hour just to still have a wavy cabinet. Sometimes good enough really is good enough.
