Walked into a laundromat in Omaha and saw someone using a wire hanger to unclog the dryer vent.

That gave me the idea to check my own vent at home, found a lint monster blocking half the airflow, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has used shop vac attachments to clean deep into the ductwork without taking it apart?

Shop vac with a brush attachment worked great for mine.

Oh man, I gotta disagree a little bit. Shop vacs can be way too strong for screens if you're not careful. I used one once and it actually bent the frame a tiny bit because the suction was so intense. A soft brush attachment helps but the raw power still scares me. I'd rather just use compressed air from a can or a handheld vacuum with adjustable suction. Those shop vacs just suck too hard for delicate electronics lol.
