Vent: That one time a coworker kept fixing my desk doodles
I had this guy Steve at my old job who would see me doodling a little tree or a smiley face on a sticky note and he'd walk over and literally add stuff to it with his own pen. He drew a little hat on my sun once and said "that sun needs more personality." It was at my cubicle at the office where I worked for 3 years, and he never asked if I wanted help. Anyone else ever had someone mess with your desk art like it was fair game?

You used to think people were just being friendly or trying to connect? I was the same way until a coworker kept "improving" my little mushroom doodles with weird glowing mushrooms, and it honestly started pssing me off after a while. It's not about the doodle itself, it's about someone not respecting your space and acting like your tiny creative outlet is up for grabs.

Nodded so hard I almost spilled my coffee, yeah. I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but I hate when people act like everything you do is an invitation for their input. Once had a guy "help" me fold my origami crane at a work thing and he totally wrecked it, then looked at me like I was the weirdo for being annoyed. Like bro, my crane was fine, it wasn't asking for a glow up. I get that it's just a doodle or a paper bird, but sometimes it feels like people see a quiet hobby and think "oh, this must be a group project now." I'd probably start drawing angry little mushrooms with frowny faces just to make a point.
