Caught myself drawing on a sticky note wrong for like a year

I always doodle little shapes on my desk pad during conference calls. One day last week I realized I had been using the wrong side of those 3x3 sticky notes for months. The side that peels off is actually the back, but I kept drawing on the fuzzy leftover side because it felt like paper. A coworker laughed when I asked why my sketches looked smudged, and she flipped one over for me. Has anyone else gone that long using office supplies the dumb way?

Wait, so you're telling me the fuzzy side isn't the actual drawing surface? I've been using sticky notes as mini whiteboards for years and just thought they all came with a built-in eraser problem. I'm sitting here picturing myself like a proud artist on those fuzzy rectangles, wondering why my doodles always looked like I drew them with a candle. Now I got to go flip over the whole stack on my desk and pretend this never happened.

The sticky side would just peel off the wall mid-doodle.
