Can we talk about how I ruined my favorite gel pens at work?
I used to doodle with whatever ballpoint was lying around, scratchy lines and all. Then I got into these Pilot G2 gel pens, 0.7mm tip, and my desk sketches got so much smoother and cleaner. But last Tuesday, I left one uncapped on my desk and some property manager paperwork bled all over it, now the tip is crusty and skips. Anyone else feel personally attacked when a pen dies like this mid-doodle?

Property manager paperwork bled on it? That's a rough way to lose a good pen. Pilot G2s are too nice for that kind of abuse.

Can't believe a Pilot G2 met its end like that. I've dropped mine in coffee, left it in a hot car, and even had a dog gnaw on one once, but paperwork fluids? That's a new level of disrespect. Those pens write so smooth, they deserve a better fate than being sacrificed to some property manager's filing system.

Have you ever had a pen that just felt like an extension of your hand? That's the G2 for me. I've had a few get crushed in the bottom of a tool bag under a pipe wrench and they still wrote after I bent the clip back. Paperwork fluids though, that's a whole different level of abuse. Those property management files must be hiding some nasty stuff if it can kill a G2. I bet that ink got into the click mechanism and seized it up from the inside. Your mileage may vary but a pen that survives coffee and a hot car deserves an honorable burial, not a chemical spill in a filing cabinet.
