Two months in Chiang Mai and I turned into a different kind of worker

I used to plan my whole week around cafe wifi and time zones, but after 8 weeks here I just show up at the same coworking desk by 9 and leave by 5. The difference is I stopped trying to squeeze in tourist stuff between calls, so my work hours got boring and my evenings got actual rest. Has anyone else noticed their travel rhythm gets less adventurous the longer they stay in one spot, or is it just me?

Hold on, you mean to tell me you actually stopped doing the tourist thing entirely? Eight weeks in a place like Chiang Mai and you are not hitting a new temple or trying a different night market at least once a week? That blows my mind. I get the boring work hours part, sure, but I would have figured the longer you stay, the more you start hunting for those hidden spots off the main drag. Sounds less like a travel rhythm and more like you found a second home office. Did you at least switch up your lunch spot or was it the same noodles every single day, too?
