Question about cleaning up old bookmarks... is there a faster way?

I spent 4 hours last Sunday going through my laptop bookmarks... I had like 800 saved pages from college and old jobs. Most of them were broken links or stuff I don't even care about anymore. Does anyone have a tool that actually helps sort through this stuff faster? I tried doing it manually and my eyes crossed by the end.

Wouldn't it be nice if browsers just did this for us? I had the same problem last year with about 600 bookmarks from when I was looking at apartments and vacation rentals. What finally worked for me was using a free tool called Bookmark Cleaner. It checks for dead links and duplicates way faster than scrolling through each one. I still had to manually decide which ones to keep, but it cut my time down to maybe an hour instead of a whole afternoon. Just be careful with it because it can delete stuff if you aren't paying attention. Definitely worth trying before you waste another Sunday.

I got down to about 200 bookmarks on my phone last month and it still took me like an hour. It's funny how we just keep saving things forever, like digital hoarding, and then act surprised when it takes a whole afternoon to fix. There's probably a life lesson in there about letting go of old stuff, but I mostly just want a faster button.
