Paper filters vs aftermarket on my 3126, never again in 14 years of turning wrenches
I used to think saving 12 bucks a pop on the cheap spin-ons was fine for my own truck. Ran one for about 2,000 miles and the fuel pressure gauge started dancing around 40 psi. Swapped back to the OEM, settled right at 62. That cheap one let something through enough to bug the injectors. Took me a whole Saturday to flush the system out. Anyone else get burned by saving a few dollars on filters, or was it just my luck?
