My own trick for stuck injectors finally paid off
Had a 6.0 Powerstroke that wouldn't budge no matter what. Tried heat, penetrant, even a slide hammer for two days straight. Then I torched the rail boss first and used a long breaker bar at a slow steady pull - popped right out. Anyone else found a weird move that works better than the standard way?

Read something about heating the rail boss with a torch was key cause it expands the metal more even. Heard some guys use a heat gun on low to avoid melting stuff. Kept the torch maybe 3 inches off the injector.

1998 F-350, 7.3 Powerstroke. Had an injector stuck so bad I put a 4-foot cheater bar on a breaker bar. Snapped the bolt clean off. Ended up drilling it out and heli-coiling the hole. Took three days. Next time I tried the torch trick - worked like a charm on the other side. Just gotta watch those damn wiring looms. Mine had one zip-tied right under the valley.

Wait, were you torching the rail while it was still on the engine or did you pull the whole rail first? I had a buddy who tried that and ended up melting some wiring harness that ran right under it, had to replace the whole damn thing. How far from the injector body did you keep the torch?
