Serious question, has anyone else had a tenant suddenly stop paying rent in a Corktown building?
I had a retail tenant in a Corktown property who was 3 months behind on their $4,500 monthly rent before they finally just handed me the keys and left last Tuesday, saying 'the foot traffic isn't what we were promised'.

Scott's $13,500 debt is a gut punch. I had a tenant leave a similar mess, but they also took the damn light fixtures and the toilet seats. The cleanup and small claims court took months, and I still only got a fraction back. It makes you question every promise you ever made about the area.

Ouch, that's brutal. Had a tenant once who skipped out and left behind a literal pile of junk mail and a broken fridge.
