My broker warned me not to buy a building in the Milwaukee Junction area back in 2021
He said the neighborhood was still too rough and I'd never find tenants. Well I went ahead anyway and bought a 12,000 sq ft warehouse for $180k, and now I've got three tenants leased up and the property's appraised at $320k. Anyone else have an agent steer you wrong about a Detroit neighborhood?

Ha, yeah I've been there. My own realtor told me buying in the Milwaukee Junction area was a dumb move back in 2021, said I'd never find tenants. I went through with it anyway because the price was stupid low, and now I've got three tenants paying me steady rent and the place appraised way higher than I paid. Sometimes you just gotta trust your gut and ignore the folks who'd rather play it safe.
