Why does nobody talk about the price difference at the self-checkout produce scale?

I was at the grocery store in Madison last week and the cashier had to void my apples because I punched in the wrong code. She showed me that organic Gala apples were code 4011, but the regular ones were 4131, and I'd been charged the organic price by mistake for months. What other produce codes have you guys found that save a few bucks?

I once paid for expensive avocados as Hass when they were just the regular ones for a solid six months. My bank statement looked like I had a serious guacamole habit. The real kicker was I don't even like organic stuff that much, I was just being lazy with the lookup screen. Now I have the regular banana code, 4011, burned into my brain like my own birthday.
