TIL my grocery store's app has a hidden clearance section.
Scrolling through it last Tuesday, I tapped a weird 'manager's special' button. Found a $5 pack of chicken marked down to $1.50. The app said it was a 'last day' price. Anyone else find secret deals like that on their store apps?

That "requires immediate planning" part is so true. Feels like everything these days is a last minute deal, not just groceries. Makes you wonder if they design it that way on purpose.

Interesting find, but my experience has been different. Those hidden sections often just move product that's very close to its sell-by date. I've bought a few things that way and ended up having to cook them that same night. It can be a good deal, but it requires immediate planning.
