My neighbor laughed at me for not using the store app, now I save $12 a week

I always thought those grocery store loyalty apps were a scam for your data. Last month my neighbor saw me digging for coupons in the paper and said 'you're throwing away money, dude.' He showed me his phone with a $5 off coupon just for scanning a box of cereal. Now I check the app before every trip to Kroger and I'm saving about $12 a week. Has anyone else had an old person or neighbor change how you shop?

Felt that man, my buddy at work kept pushing the Target Circle thing on me and I finally caved, now I'm grabbing 20% off random stuff I was gonna buy anyway lmao.

Does that make us officially old now, getting excited about a discount on dish soap? I caught myself grinning at 15% off paper towels last week and felt a little too proud of it. Pretty soon I'll be clipping coupons out of the Sunday paper and calling it a hobby.
