Fixed my squeaky front door with a candle vs WD-40 and one of them actually worked
My front door has been squeaking for like 3 weeks and it was driving me nuts. I tried spraying WD-40 on the hinges first and it worked for maybe a day before the noise came back. Then my neighbor Carol told me to just rub a plain white candle on the hinge pins and honestly its been 9 days of pure silence now. Has anyone else had luck with this or is there an even better trick I'm missing?

My buddy swears by plain old bar soap on his hinges.
