The bagel shop near my office got my order right in 2 minutes flat, but everyone ahead of me was in line for 20 minutes

I watched six people stand there arguing with the cashier about cream cheese flavors while I grabbed my everything bagel with plain cream cheese and paid, so am I the only one who thinks customer service is actually better when the worker does NOT chat with everyone like a buddy?

Preach! Same thing happened to me yesterday, zero small talk and I was out the door in under 5 minutes.
