The $20 dog puzzle toy beat my $90 snuffle mat
Everyone raves about those expensive snuffle mats but my lab figured it out in 3 days, it became a food bowl. Picked up a cheap plastic puzzle feeder at the store in Portland and she's still working at it 20 minutes later. Anyone else had a budget item outsmart the pricey version for their pets?

I feel for you on the snuffle mat thing. My sister dropped almost a hundred bucks on one for her shepherd and the dog just flipped it over and ate the kibble off the floor like it was a regular bowl. There is something about the cheap stuff that just works better because you don't care if they destroy it, so you let them really go at it. My beagle has a two dollar rubber thing from the clearance bin that keeps him busy way longer than any fancy toy we bought. Sometimes the simple stuff just clicks for them and the price tag means nothing.
