My cat learned to open the pantry door yesterday
Woke up at 3am to a banging sound. Found my tabby Milo inside a box of crackers. He figured out the lever handle. Had to install a childproof lock. Anyone else have a pet that outsmarts basic home stuff?

Holy crap, a cat that can use a lever handle? That's insane. My old dog could push open a squeaky door with his nose, but this is next level. Three in the morning too, you must have been so confused. I would have thought it was a ghost or something. So weird that he specifically went for the crackers, not even the cat food.

Wait, does your dog also have a weird thing for crackers over actual dog food? Because my cat does the same thing... he'll turn his nose up at a fresh bowl of kibble but go crazy for a stray Cheez-It on the floor. Honestly, I'm just glad it's crackers and not something worse... my last cat somehow got into the pantry and shredded a whole bag of tortilla chips, which was a real mess to clean up at 3am. Makes you wonder what goes through their little heads sometimes, huh?
