Tried sketching with my non-dominant hand for a week and my doodles actually got looser and more lively.
My left-handed scribbles look way better than my careful right-handed ones because I stop overthinking every line and just let it flow out messy but expressive... has anyone else accidentally improved their art by making it harder on purpose?

That reminds me of when I tried to draw with my eyes closed and ended up making these weirdly beautiful abstract shapes I never could have planned. Did your sketches start looking like someone else drew them too?

The whole "looks like someone else drew it" thing is real. I've had sketches come out so different I had to double check I wasn't looking at someone's else's paper. Just keep going with it, sometimes your brain knows what it's doing even when your hand doesn't.
