Vent: I ignored password managers for 6 years because I thought one breach would sink me
For the longest time I told anyone who'd listen that password managers were a single point of failure and a scam. Why put all my keys in one online vault, right? So I kept a notebook by my desk in Fort Wayne and reused the same three passwords for everything, felt pretty smart about it too. Then a guy I train at 6am, he works IT at a hospital, asked me to log into my gym app and I typed the password out loud by mistake, and he just looked at me and said that same password was in a dump from 2019. He walked me through setting up Bitwarden right there on the gym floor, took about 15 minutes. Six months in, I've got 60 something logins with random passwords I couldn't even memorize, and the thing I was scared of, a breach, is honestly less scary than what I was already doing. What got you off the notebook and into a manager, or are you still holding out like I was?
