Got roasted by a viewer for my thumbnail colors, fixed it and views tripled
I had this one guy comment on my video that my thumbnails all looked like mud, like a brownish green mess. He said pick one bright color and make it pop. I switched to using just a single neon accent color per thumbnail, like bright orange or pink against a dark background. After about 2 weeks of doing that, my click through rate went from like 4% up to 12% on most videos. Has anyone else had a specific piece of feedback that totally changed their numbers like that?

My buddy runs a car channel and he had this one subscriber who kept saying his title font was unreadable. He was using this fancy script font that looked cool to him but nobody could actually read it. He finally changed it to a bold white font with a black outline and his views on one of his Civic build videos went from like 1,500 to almost 8,000 in a month. The same video just with a different title style and font, same thumbnail otherwise. He still jokes about how that one random commenter was right and he should have listened sooner.

Dang, that font thing is real. I had the same problem with my own stuff. I was using these trendy thin fonts that looked clean on my monitor but on a phone screen they were basically invisible. Switched to a thick bold sans serif with a dark drop shadow and my click rate jumped too. It's wild how a tiny change like font weight or letter spacing can make or break whether someone even bothers to read your title. People scroll so fast that if it takes more than half a second to process, they're gone.
