Can we talk about spending $25 on a prompt journal that just tells me to 'write what I see'?
I bought this journal at a Barnes & Noble in Columbus about 6 months ago because the cover had quotes from writers I like. Every page just says stuff like 'describe your morning' with a blank line under it. I filled exactly 3 pages in 4 months, then stuck it on the shelf next to a candle. I thought structure would help me write more, but it just made me feel like I owed a journal money. What actually got me writing was a random prompt from a free forum thread about a broken vending machine, so now I just pull from places like this. Did anyone else buy one of these things and actually finish it?
