Appreciation post: The guy who wanted his oak tree trimmed to look like a giraffe

He showed me a photo from a magazine and said, 'I'll pay double if you can get the neck right.' Has anyone else had a request that made you just stop and stare for a minute?

Man, that reminds me of a lady who wanted her hedge shaped like a teapot. The spout was a whole thing.

Wait, did she actually get the teapot hedge done? I gotta know if the spout looked good or if it just ended up being a weird leafy lump. Some of these fancy shapes sound cool but turn out kinda sad in real life.

Okay but the real question is, did he want a realistic giraffe neck or one of those weird cartoon ones? Because if it was realistic, that poor tree is going to look like a weird pipe cleaner animal for the next decade. I'd have stared too, trying to figure out if he was serious or just testing my ability to keep a straight face. Honestly, some people have more money than sense, but at least it's creative!
