Chose the 250-ton over the 130 for a hospital job in Austin, now I'm second guessing myself
Had to pick between bringing the big Liebherr or saving the customer money with the smaller rig. The site didn't have the pad built yet, so I went with the 250 because of the reach to the mechanical penthouse. It worked fine, but the extra setup time ate up the whole morning and the project manager kept staring at his watch. Would you have stuck with the bigger iron or trusted the smaller one with a shorter pick? We got it done, but my per-diem barely covered the wait at the fuel stop off I-35.

That bit about the PM staring at his watch says a lot. Did he actually say anything about the time, or was that just his usual way of standing around? Because if he never complained out loud, you might be beating yourself up over nothing.
