Had a client tell me my highlights looked a bit muddy around her roots, and after really looking I realized I was pulling my sections too wide and the color was bleeding way more than I thought.
She was nice about it, but it stung because she was right, so now I keep all my sectioning to under a quarter inch and I have not had that complaint since, has anyone else had to shrink their sections after a rough critique?

Webb.ben's got a point but shrinking sections fixes a real technical problem not just ego. Bleeding color means the foil or paper wasn't sealed right and sections were too chunky to control. Quarter inch is tight but keeps everything crisp so dye doesnt wander where it shouldnt. Better to adjust and keep clients happy than argue over hurt feelings. Makes the work cleaner in the long run.

Tbh, shrinking your sections after one bad review is like going on a diet after one bad photo. But hey, if it works it works.
