Found a better way to cut in corners at a job site in Austin
I was working on a trim job out in Austin last month and the homeowner asked me to try his method for cutting in corners with a 5-in-1 tool instead of a brush. I thought it was gonna be a waste of time but after about 10 minutes I noticed I was getting cleaner lines and less tape bleeding. He showed me how to load the paint on the straight edge and just slide it into the corner with a light touch. Saved me maybe 20 minutes per room on a 4 bedroom house and I didn't have to go back for touch ups. Has anyone else tried this trick or got another weird tool hack that actually works?

Honestly I switched to doing it that way about a year ago and haven't looked back. The key is keeping that 5-in-1 clean between passes or you'll drag dried paint right into your fresh line. Tbh it takes a little practice but once you get the feel for the pressure it's way faster than a brush for sure.

Yeah keeping that 5-in-1 clean is the whole trick, I learned that the hard way on a closet door.
