Vent: rented a boom lift I didn't need, burned 480 bucks

Had a two day window to get exterior lights swapped on a warehouse in Tulsa. The owner insisted on renting a 60 foot boom lift even though I told him scissor lifts would reach fine from the parking lot. Paid 480 for the rental and it sat parked the whole first day because the staging area wasn't cleared yet. By the time we used it, I realized the scissor lifts we had on another job would've done the same job for 150. Has anyone else had a client push for bigger equipment than the site actually calls for?
