Concrete truck showed up 2 hours early and the street was blocked by a wedding party last Tuesday

I was standing on a site in Denver waiting for a pump truck to arrive. The concrete truck pulled up at 6 AM instead of 8 AM and right then a wedding limo caravan decided to park across the only access road. I had to run over and ask the driver to move, but he said no for 15 minutes while 40 guests unloaded. We ended up hand bucketing the first half yard before they cleared out and the concrete started setting in the drum. Has anyone else dealt with a random event completely killing your delivery schedule?

Lying to a wedding coordinator about a major delay threat worked when I had to clear a blocked driveway last year.

And on top of that, I bet the coordinator had no clue about the concrete timeline. The wedding party probably thought they were being polite by parking there and taking their time, but that 15 minutes of "unloading guests" turns into a half hour of you scrambling because the mud's already stiffening in the truck. I've seen it happen where a whole load gets written off because someone's cousin decided to take photos in the middle of the only access point. It's like the concrete gods have a sense of humor, except nobody's laughing when you're dumping 8 yards down the drain.
