Broke a crane chain on a Friday after 11 perfect days of work
Had a 14 ton beam swing loose when a worn link snapped near the hook. The whole site stopped for 3 hours while we swapped it out and the foreman just said 'that's why we inspect them every morning.' Has anyone else had a small part cause a bigger chain reaction like that?

Oh man, that's exactly how it goes sometimes. It's funny how a tiny little link can bring everything to a grinding halt. I've noticed that pattern everywhere - like how a single bad spark plug can make a whole engine run rough, or a loose screw in a door hinge makes the whole thing sag. We spend so much time looking at the big pieces, but it's always the small connections that really matter. It's a good reminder that the strongest chain is only as good as its weakest part, whether that's on a job site or in a relationship with people.

Isn't it just as often the big pieces that break and take everything down with them?
