Rainy Tuesday turned into our best pour day in months
Forecast said thunderstorms all day so the GC nearly called it off, but we pushed through and finished a 40-yard slab for that loading dock in Portland with zero cold joints, anyone else ever have a weather scare that ended up being your smoothest day?

That line about "weather scare turning into your smoothest day" hit home. A buddy of mine runs a crew that poured a bridge deck once despite a 90% chance of rain, and the skies stayed dry the whole morning. He still talks about how perfect that mix set, but I tease him that it was pure luck, not skill.
