My uncle told me to never pour a slab in Spokane after October 15th.

He said the ground temp drops too fast and you'll get surface cracks no matter what. I ignored him last fall for a garage pad job, started on October 20th. Sure enough, hairline cracks everywhere by spring. Anyone else have a hard cutoff date for pours in their area?

That "hard cutoff" thing is a skill I've never quite mastered. I always end up giving people one more chance than they deserve. Then I'm the one stuck dealing with the fallout.
