I bought a cheap trowel from Harbor Freight that lasted exactly one pour. Now I only buy the good stuff.

That's the worst feeling. Those discount tools always seem like a good deal until they break halfway through the job. What were you working on when it gave out?

But honestly, sometimes a cheap tool is the RIGHT call. If you only need it for one weird project, why spend a ton? I grabbed a set of those discount wrenches for a single bike repair and they worked fine. They're still in my junk drawer. Not every job needs pro-grade stuff that costs a week's pay.
