Am I the only one who thought wet curing was a waste of time?

I always skipped wet curing on my jobs thinking it was just more hassle. Seeing how it stops cracks in summer changed my view completely. Do you guys find wet curing makes a big difference too?

Did you see that write-up in the trade mag about curing in hot weather? It showed how concrete without wet curing lost too much moisture too fast, leading to surface cracks you can't always fix. They compared two driveways poured the same day, one just left to dry. By the end of the week, the dry one was already spider-webbing. Keeping it wet slows down the drying so it sets right. I don't skip it anymore, especially on sunny days.

Yeah, saw a slab curl up from drying too quick last August.

Why wet cure if cracks happen anyway? @daniel474's slab might've had issues.
