This old guy on the 7:15 bus taught me something about patience
Back when I took the same bus route through Cleveland for years, there was this older man who always sat in the front seat and never seemed rushed. One Tuesday, after a huge delay, I was fuming and he just turned and said, 'You can't fight the clock, son, you just ride with it.' Honestly, that stuck with me more than any traffic report ever did. Has a simple comment from a stranger ever changed how you handle a bad commute?

That stress actually pushes me to find faster routes though.

Man, that's a really cool story. What a great way to look at it. I get so wound up when my train is late, just staring at my phone and getting mad. That old guy had it right, you just have to go with it sometimes. It's like all that stress doesn't make the bus move any faster, you know? I'm gonna try to remember that next time I'm stuck.

My bus was 20 minutes late yesterday and I just sat there making angry faces at pigeons, @joel_butler. I'm not great at this yet.
