Sat in 45 minutes of gridlock on I-35 in Austin last Tuesday just to watch someone cut across 4 lanes of traffic for the exit they almost missed.
And of course no cops around to hand them a ticket for the move that backed up the whole line for a mile... has anyone else noticed how often this exact thing happens during rush hour?

My buddy Dave sat through that same mess last week watching a guy in a white Altima cut from the left lane clear across to the 35th Street exit. He said traffic just froze solid for a solid two minutes while everyone slammed their brakes. By the time Dave finally got past that spot, the guy was long gone and nobody saw a single cop the whole way.

I’ve basically become a part-time traffic psychologist just from watching white Altimas do this exact move every week near the 58th Street merge. Honestly, I’m convinced nobody sees cops anymore because they’re all hiding in a doughnut shop betting on how many exits that guy will skip before brake-checking the entire left lane. My own car once stalled out from pure stress during one of those lane jumps, so I just sat there like a moron blocking the right lane for a solid 45 seconds while everyone honked at me.
