I swapped my 45-minute car fight on I-5 for a 20-minute bike ride six months ago and I'm never going back.
The constant gridlock and $400 a month in gas finally broke me, so I sold the truck, bought a decent commuter bike, and now I actually enjoy getting to work, so has anyone else made a switch that felt impossible at first?

Yeah, I was that guy white-knuckling the steering wheel for years. My version of @nora_walker57 staring at the keys was me convincing myself I needed the truck for "just in case" trips to Home Depot. Turns out a bike trailer works fine and I don't miss the road rage one bit.

What finally pushed you to try the bike trailer instead?

That "impossible at first" feeling is so real. I remember staring at my car keys for a week, convinced I'd be a sweaty mess and hate it. The first few rides were rough, but now I get to actually notice things, like what flowers are blooming in people's yards. It's weird how something that feels like a huge sacrifice just becomes your normal, better routine.
