That con weekend where every seller found my want list

I drove 4 hours to a show in Richmond last Saturday and hit the jackpot. One dealer had a whole longbox of 80s X-Men that looked untouched, pulled out 5 issues I needed for under $20 total. Another guy at the next table had the exact Wolverine mini series #1 I've been hunting for 2 years, priced at $10 because the cover had a crease. Anyone else ever have a show where the stars just align like that?

Had a buddy who went to a small show in Raleigh a few years back and basically stumbled into the same kind of luck. He was just looking for a cheap run of Claremont X-Men and this older guy had a whole box for like fifty cents each, all in great shape. He grabbed about 20 issues before the guy even looked at his list and started pulling out the key ones for him. He still talks about it like it was a lottery win or something.

dude that is exactly what i was thinking, the stars just line up sometimes. i had a similar thing happen at a show in Charlotte a few months ago, this guy had a whole shortbox of early 90s Spider-Man and just let me dig through it. i pulled out a first appearance of Carnage for like 8 bucks because it had a tiny bend in the corner, and he also had a full run of the original Venom mini series for practically nothing. it felt like i was stealing but he was just happy to move them. those shows where everything clicks are the best, you live off that high for months.
