My comic book box collapsed at the Denver convention

Had a long box full of 90s X-Men issues. The bottom gave out right in the middle of the floor. Comics everywhere. Had to crawl around picking them up while people stepped over me. Anyone else have a storage disaster with their collection?

Long boxes are just asking for trouble. Dakota_patel98 has a point about water damage, but cardboard failing at a con is its own special kind of panic. What do you use for transport now?

Used to think long boxes were fine. My whole collection of Spawn comics got soaked when a pipe burst.

Oh man, a pipe burst... that's the worst. I lost a whole box of X-Force to a leaky basement wall, it still hurts.
