My buddy told me to stop buying variant covers just to flip them.

He said I was missing the point of collecting, so I kept my last Amazing Spider-Man #1 cover for myself. How do you decide what's actually worth keeping in your collection?

Honestly I just keep the covers I like looking at. Had a Batman one that was worth a bit but the art was just ugly to me, so I traded it.
