That $18 pour over kit at Blue Bottle was a complete bust

I grabbed their fancy ceramic dripper and filters last month because the barista swore it would beat my $5 plastic cone. After 4 tries, the water just stalls and my coffee comes out bitter every single time. I could have bought two pounds of decent beans for what I spent on that thing. Anyone else fall for the hype at a trendy counter and regret it?

I bought a $60 milk frother at a fancy shop and now I just use it to make hot chocolate, the foam part is a total joke.
