Bought a $35 lap desk, best money I've spent for cafe work
Been bouncing between coffee shops for remote work and my laptop kept sliding off those tiny round tables. Picked up one of those padded lap desks with a wrist rest and a little mouse pad area at a local shop in Austin. Game changer for the cramped corner booth at Mozart's, my neck actually thanks me now. Anyone else found a solid setup for working off a standard cafe table?
Grabbed one years ago for the same reason and never looked back. Those tiny cafe tables are honestly useless for anything bigger than a coffee cup. The wrist rest alone saved me from that weird hovering position where your arms just float in midair. Mine’s got a little lip on the back so my laptop doesn’t slide off when I lean forward to grab my drink. It’s not fancy but it does the job, and my shoulders stopped hurting by the end of the day.
