My pour-over kettle spout took me 6 months to figure out

I kept getting uneven extraction and blamed my beans, grinder, everything - then I realized I was pouring too fast because the spout angle was wrong. Has anyone else struggled with a simple gear issue for way too long?

The spout angle is usually fine, you were just pouring too fast.

Read an article that said slower pours actually work better.
